Im all for womens cricket and have played against middlesex ladies a few years ago, technically they were far better than us and fitter.bowling wise there was not the real pace you would find in mens league cricket, depends on what level you play of course.ive certainly faced high sixties mph for sure so dont think the pace would be a problem-they may well get you out thou!!
The only time ive faced a bowler out and out too quick was carlos remy of sussex and leics.he was frightening quick, got home post match thou, whacked his name into cricinfo and it said 'medium pace'

she's played at yorkshire since she was about 13, but i have no proof. cant see why i'd make it up though and hence need proof
Sarah Taylor was ranked number 1 woman's batsman in the world very recently

Sorry but if your number 1 in the world in your sport you are a superstar and special

Only my opinion like

I stated my opinion that I dont think she would cut it in mens cricket, specifically county 2nd's which maybe I should have stated. Could i get her out? yeh I'd fancy a crack at bowling to her, a good challenge either way. I know for a fact my girlfriend has bowled at her, and got her out previously, and she's no superstar.

I've bowled a lad out who plays in the Brum Prem league and a batsmen for WEPL Prem. Does that mean I'm a good bowler.. no (as I'm not). Just means I happened one day to it right and they for one ball managed to make a mistake against someone that was easily less than 70mph. Not all about pace, human error, wicket or just plain luck has a baring on each and every game we play in. Just getting someone out once etc again (like form) isn't exactly a way to judge someone. That's like watching someone for one net and deciding 'yeah they ain't good enough'... How do you know, might be a bad day, might just need to slight changes that make all the difference etc etc. People are far far too quick to write people off in cricket (and also too quick to laud praise on people that 'look' good yet score less runs than others)

It's been interesting reading this, would like to see the above bowling at Sarah Taylor. I'm biased as I'm in love with her and in my mind she's in love with me,, there again I'm in love with all the weather girls on central TV. :D

which of those women would get us lot out? are you that bad?
i cant help but feel people are being far too diplomatic/sitting on the fence over this issue. I watched the other day, a leg side ball, at 65mph and it looked to quick for her and went for 4 wides, she barely moved, add another 15mph on to that and what chance does she have? thats just her keeping. she hasnt scored a run against 65mph bowling attacks

just because she is having a bad tournament doesnt mean she always does this? Let's not forget she has been injured and ill.. me being a female cricketer our bowling machine fielding and batting wise is put on 75+ most of the time.
Again i'd like to talk from experience with training and playing with men sides it's never stopped me. and i'm not even nearly as good as taylor.
if you think you cant get out from female bowling you're just naive.. ofcourse its your opinion but i cant wait for taylor to prove you wrong to be honest.

She looked good today

Yep a good 88 and a good stumping for the first wicket.. Shame it was all in vain. Although I do appear to have a soft spot for Miss Brunt  :-[

looked to relax when she got off the mark and the risk of a 4th duck running, dropped on 0 aswell
played some classy powerful strokes though looks the most natural of the english batters

Also kept well, the leg side stumping was a quality piece of work
