What is the best value cricket bats bare in mind independent makes.

you may need to define value... a £200 bat could be a bargain to one person or a £50 bat is a bargain to the next.

on here you may need to know what your budget is and say to the sponsors I have (say) £140 to spend on a bat burning a hole in my bank account, I like something that has a mid-low middle about 2lbs 8 with a modern profile.
can you help please!
if it is a retailer, you may want to specify a brand too.

perhaps you could put that in a way that's a little more pleasant please. I agree, it's a reasonable question. If you are talking £ to oz then the MSR bats a great value on a budget.

The lowest priced bats I know of are MSR, they are good value bats from what I hear! It does depend on other things though, I think that lots of brands offer great stuff. To have a fair assessment of the best valued bats though, I reckon you would have to get a plain bat from every company, use it then say how much you would pay for it. The best value bat being the one which costs the least compared to what you are prepared to pay!

To me CA bats are real guns. My CA TRD is better than my most of other very expensive top brands bats.

He's just speaking out as new members will post topics they don't need to but let admin deal with it not every Tom dick and Harry have a go at new members we were all new once so let's all ease up

They are good bats, but keep onto your receipts, as they do have breakage problems, so you may need the warranty! I reckon this one broke because the idiot using it refused to oil it because he 'had no time' and didn't like scuff sheets. It was a top top bat, but his playing style (Slog all yorkers) was the reason for its demise... Also the same guy who has owed me £70 from 4 seasons ago... =.=

I agree on breakage problems epecially with the handles but now they've really minimized all those issues. If you don't oil/knock and prepare your bat properly and use it straight away then damage can happen even to the strongest bats. Deadly yorkers can break even international cricketers bats, Malinga is doing it quite often these days. :)

I'm afraid I'm with Dave on this one (in a little more diplomatic version) - yes newbies will post the odd stupid question, and may be pushing their posts to 50, but that's what the admins are for. Far too many aggressive put-downs going on at the the moment from members who aren't that senior themselves!
