Patel is the most a frustrating England player. 100 times more so than broad.

Here you have a player
Who has the talent and mental capacity to play cricket around the globe. All he has to do is hit the gym (which at NCCC) is top notch, and lay off the pies. Be he doesn't do it, he would rather eat oies and play in wet Englnd than India, SA, NZ, SL, Australia.

He has been given 2 chances, and wasted them both as if they were a free side salad.

I'm a Notts fan, and like to see their players do well even if it damges their championship hopes.

What's his excuse this time? Flat deck, tons scored before hand.... Yet still hasn't got it between the ears.

Thought you didn't want to talk about Bell anymore?  :-[

If he didnt 'have it between the ears' then i'm pretty sure he wouldn't have played 80 odd tests

I don't really understand all this Bell and root bashing.

Root is young and needs time to settle into his place. Of course there are going to be low scores, you cant get a ton every game.

Then Bell, when he doesnt get a ton and someone else does, he is classed to be dropped, but when he does get a ton and others don't he is seen as lucky and saving his place for the next year.

Not every player can get a big score every innings, low scores do happen, ducks happen, if it didn't cricket would be very boring.

I was a bit disappointed with the way Root got out but he'll learn from it. The issue is that he needs to be settled in as a test player by Trent Bridge.

Glad Broad got a couple of wickets to shut the haters up for a day.

A few played bad shots that they should be disappointed with, Bell Kp and Root
Broad should be batting 10, even behind Anderson

Great caught and bowled broad

He's bowling where he should be and suddenly looks good again. The guy should never bowl short or back of a length!

He's getting cocky again. Few good overs, few wicket and he's suddenly thinking he's rapid and a bang it in bowler again... fool.
