so how much are these going to sell for?

Hi nick, as I am not yet a sponsor I am not going to advertise price or look like I am trying to sell as no doubt this would anger paying sponsors, drop Salix an email or phone call and all the prices can be obtained that way. Hope you don't find me being awkward just don't want to anger or upset other people. Email info&salixcricketbats.com.

Thanks

Hi Guys, just thought i would share some pics of my new HitsHard bat. I saw this cleft when i was with Andrew last week and tapped it with the mallet and decided to add this to my HitsHard collection.

This bat is 2.9 in weight with a 33mm edge at maximum size. The middle is mid profile with a flat face. I have really liked the flat face on my existing HitsHard match bat for this season and this is an almost exact replica of my current match bat.  In terms of grains etc for those that like that kind of thing ( im someone that does like the odd grain) there are 13 of them all dead straight straight and running straight through the toe. There is also a little bit of concaving on this little beauty

In terms of performance it pings very very well tapping up and old ball and sounds very nice off the mallet.  One thing i dod notice when i got my existing match bat was that with a flat face the toe and edges did crack a little quite early and i think a flat faced bat needs a little extra knocking in as there is more surface area contacting the ball.

This is a grade 2 piece of willow mainly due to the heartwood on the outside edge and one of the best looking G2 bats i have ever seen.  Hope you guys like the pics

G2???!!!  :o Lovely bat mate and love the profile

Yea G2 Andrew and Salix/HitsHard have some of the nicest lower grades i have ever seen. I saw a Performance model the other week with 17 straight grains and even heartwood on RH outside edge and it was a beauty.

The pick up on this bat with this profile is amazing. Honestly feels like a 2.7 allows me so much bat speed.

That's a great looking bat. Still not convinced on the branding but that's a personal view.

The branding is brash, different and will stand out for sure. Think about H4L when they first came out or even Bosom Bats, they were certainly an aquired taste and there will definately be a market for these. Good on you for being bold! Personally I would ditch the 2 colour bat tape as it reminds me of most Pakistani made bats.

I like the bats (alot) and the softs look really nice apart from the 'Hits Hard' lettering on the gloves.  That would have me rolling around laughing at the batsmen wearing them.

I have been wearing these softs all year and the only bit of chirp I had was on my way to a league 100 so it didn't really work lol. In all honesty when wearing them I don't think people notice. Extremely comfortable softs as you would expect from something that was designed by Salix.
