Think you are being a bit harsh here. By looking at the softs I can say he has obviously sourced it from a supplier used by many of the 'boutique' brands on the forum and in the UK. He has also tried to source UK made bats instead of getting them from India.
If you hate the colours, designs, website and photography, pls feel free to rather provide constructive criticism or some real advice on how he can improve instead of just taking his work apart. This forum should be about promoting all things cricket related, let's keep it that way.

Good luck neon cricket, we've all got to start somewhere. Like others, you've shown enough drive and courage to start something new!

Sorry but if you want everyone to walk around with rose colored specs then you are being a tad naive.
The chap is at Uni and as such should be fully aware of the requirements of any business at launch.

It's about doing the basics right.
I'm not being harsh. I've made similar mistakes many years back.

If you're going to launch then get it right before you hit the start button. That looks so much slicker.

It only takes a few well placed phone calls and he could have some professional's look over the site and proposition before launch.

Attention to detail is everything.

It's genuine and well considered feedback. If he reads it and thinks about the points then I hope it can add some value to the proposition.

He has an altruistic motive, why not make that the force and drive the message through that point.

The current financial climate must make it very difficult for anyone to completely commit to a new business venture. The risks are far greater when your livelihood is at stake so you can't blame the guy for having another more important business on the go. The fact he made that public was probably an error granted.

All fair enough but you of all people should then know that there are better ways to bring your point across. Do it in such a manner so that it does not sound like you are bitter about something and that you genuinely would like to help the chap.

If this was your original intention you might want to take up your own advice and take a bit more time to think about what  and how you write.

Also then accept this as some genuine and well considered feedback. ;)

I'm an entrepreneur so wholeheartedly approve of what Neon are doing.
I'm also keen for fellow entrepreneurs to do it right.

It's all positive. Nothing negative or bitter.

It's cheap to set-up, white label. A young entrepreneur should go for it.

I can see that now. You clearly have knowledge with regards to marketing etc. Pls share some of this knowledge in more detail as I'm sure that many more forum members might want to try their hand at starting up a brand and would love to do it right first time round.
Would certainly help Neon cricket as well.

A lad at our club has a set of softs and a bat off this guy, the stuff is brilliant. Absolute bargain for the quality Neon are selling, he said the softs are the best kit he's ever had so they must be doing something right. From what we can tell its the exact same kit as most the other 'boutique' brands (H4L, Chase etc) but at much lower prices. I had a little go with the bat and it has a lovely pick up with a more than generous middle for the weight, just need my bat to reach its end and then I'll be getting myself one of these!

Agree with some other members that the website could use some work but for a company that has only just set up it does the job to be fair to them.

Congrats to Neon, hopefully I'll be in the market for some new kit soon

Having now bought 2 new pairs after saying "I don't need another pair" I am tempted to get a pair of these. Maybe if I spent my money on coaching rather than kit I'd get somewhere!

A pair of Pittards Leather gloves for £35! No idea how they are able to offer these prices but it is great value.

Looking at the pictures I'd say they are worst than nothing!
It's free to post amazing photos and they don't cost much at all.

In today's business world there is no excuse for sloppy comms.
