I'm sure this will have been discussed before, but, what are people's experiences of warsop bats? I've wanted one for a while and just wondered what people thought?

A mate of mine has one and it absolutely flies! It did take quite a long time to open up properly though, but it is worth the wait when does. It's a platinum as well, so not even their top of the range bat.

Great bats, long established company. Can be a bit grumpy to deal with but the product is excellent!

I've used 2 different ones owned by guys at my club and both are really nice. They're a few seasons old though!

Their gear is decent. There used to be lots being used in the Essex leagues but have been in decline over the last few years. Think this maybe down to their prices increasing. But, i can say that the bats ive used before have all been good. The softs are decent also and i only used to use their gloves a few years ago until i wanted a change. Im not a lover of their new stickers (killer marlin etc)

I have used there bats a few times and indeed recently just bought a full kit bundle including platinum bat, pads, gloves and duffle, the gear is spot on and the bats perform very well and also last well, the service is a bit average Tony the bat maker isn't in my opinion a people person but the 2 ladies there are lovely. I agree the marlin and killer stickers are a bit off but the platinum range is excellent and they have some lovely sticks in the shop, not to many light ones though normally,

I picked mine from the special bag behind the door which is the players clefts cost a bit more at £225 but all huge and light. Mine is knocking up a treat a d will be a great bat when I get around to using it.

Yep. Can only agree with this and the fact they take a bit of time to open up, but when they do...

Had 4 Warsop's now and love them! Tony can be miserable at times- but he is a bloody good bat-maker.
Always go to the shop to pick your bat so many to choose from and if not tony can make one up. and that is worth the wait!
Cant recommend them enough

One of our guys has got one (Venom) and it's pretty impressive.

Tony's mood seems to completely depend on which day you catch him on!  They have a lovely new puppy and took me on a walk around the back of the shop a month or so back.  Very interesting place!

On the bats themselves, I have found that they require a hell of a lot of TLC.  They open up beautifully but are very soft, a breakage only ever seems to be just around the corner.  Completely dependent though, I have a friend that has one that has lasted 4-5 years...

I've used them between the ages of 14ish and 37ish.
I only had one bad one, which as changed.

The key thing about Warsop, is that they grade on performance. My best Warsop only have 6 grains but it went like a train.

Amazing service, if you speak with Claire, and a lovely part of the world to visit.

Got a Venom Pro that I no longer use - keep meaning to sell it on - but not because it is a bad bat.  As noted above, it did take a while to open up and, yes, Tony can be a bit of a mardy git, but I would still recommend them.

Ruislip Manor and Hillingdon.

Should warn you the bat is nearly 3lb in weight...
