Right, Im going to be trying both types of mongoose on saturday.
So does anyone have any questions for me, which I would be able to answer after using the bat?

Say you get bowled a yorker, and you toe it away with the MMi3, does it still feel like you're middling it, as in the advertisements it says about every being a middle.

Surely the edge size is dependant on weight tom? Or was that just a rough average?

It's a rough average, they're between 30mm - 36mm usually.

is it true that if u play proper shots it will go further

I was just thinking about these bats and I've only seen pics of them.  Never seen/felt them.  So, really have no opinion on them either way.  Just curious about them. 

A question that comes to mind is that since the blade is shorter and handle longer, wouldnt it be more difficult to play balls that are quick and short (say chest height), which with a normal bat one would have to go back, defend up on their tip toes and the ball might still hit the splice area of a normal bat?  One might say "well its target market is 20/20 so you wouldnt defend a whole lot and would pull/hook everything", but in my experience we dont pull/hook everything that we should/can for whatever reason (caught in two minds hence end up defending for example).

As the handle is longer you have the manoueverability to get your hands up into those positions still. You can slide your hands down towards the blade to play shots such as flicks over the keepers head and backfoot defensive. I'll get some videos of Stuart Law playing various shots with his.

If I'm honest though I wouldn't use it myself against a Tremlett/Harmison type bowler. If you see against Durham nor did Stuart Law.

I understand what you are saying that it is physically possible to do this.  However, as I've always only played with a normal bat it doesnt seem/sound feasible to me that a batsman will have enough time to slide his hands up/down the bat handle depending on the type of shot he wishes to play.

I'll upload the videos soon, there's various ones we filmed of Stuart playing a load of different shots one of which is the flick over the keepers head with the hand sliding down the handle. I'll stick them on Youtube sometime, I think they're still being edited. The DVD will also be available on the front cover of a cricket magazine soon.
