are you sure? for that weight, it would be very very difficult to get that edge size

I think edge sizes still vary, but I'm sure they don't vary that crazily! Maybe the machine wasn't quite calibrated as well as it should have been, or maybe it was a batch of extremely light clefts that they removed less wood from.

I think within reason. For heavier weights ie. GM Icon+, they do have a different profile setup to make bigger edges. It will depend on whether the variation in density meets the demand for bats at specific weights. Be surprised if a 2'10 required a different profile as it would close to the stock weight imho.

This particular bat is 2lb 8, is it not? That's a 'standard' kind of weight?
