Had a game yesterday. We were 14/ 2 playing SM 40 in 2 overs. The pitch was really bad with odd one either keeping too low or just kicking off from good length. I went in and my Captain and I added another 53 cautious runs. So we were 67 in 16 overs. After having done all the hardwork we both got out playing ordinary shots. I was lbw. I got 16. In that 16 I got 2 fours and six. In hindsight when I think about it I was really checking my shots. It was an ordinary bowling attack and thought we gave too much respect. I played everything in the V consciously avoiding playing cut or pull. It is amazing how your thinking affects your game so much. I wish I sometimes had free spirit to just go out there and clear your head and see the ball and hit the ball.
I have now decided I will take on few more calculated risks especially after identifying the weaker links in the bowling attack.
Hopefully get a big score in the next one!!!
