If the E41 gloves hadn't been available I'd have had the GN legend gloves. Really well made if my pads are anything to go by.

those legend pads are great. Not only do they look great they are very well made. Look at the top hat and look at the stitching, this is what all brands on here should aim to replicate.

I agree, they are great. Unfortunately mine squeak like anything so I have had to stick masking tape all over the bottom of them.

Just some new gear, I'll get some pics of all my gear once I get back! Got a lovely and special SS off Online Stockist, who were having a sale recently, and 2 pairs of SS LE gloves, which are a bit on the snug side, but are lovely! The SS has pretty much no concaving, there is a very very very small touch of it, but a very full profile indeed, and it weighs a touch under 2.9! The edges are around 38mm, so it is a very big bat for the weight. Thanks to Smokem for letting me know about this offer, even though it took quite a lot of effort to pry the bat out of your hands! Probably the best bat I've bought at that price...

I'm guessing Chad, that you fell to temptation as we discussed in January! Aha

I agree, the gloves are really good, and this bat is exceptional! It really is ridiculous, the only thing I would change about it is the handle shape, which I will do with some tennis grip tape. :) Proof that a good bat is a good bat, regardless of whether it comes from NZ, UK or India!

...Drat… :-[ Yeah, it's tough when deals like this pop up though! I'll be back soon, should arrange a net and I'll bring it along!

Got to love the SS gloves, I have both red and blue pairs and love them.

How much did the bat cost you if you don't mind me asking?

I think it cost me around 130-140 GBP. A very good price for a bat of this quality!

I'm sorry Chad, but I'm not wowed by the shape or look of that SS. Honestly in comparison with your other bats from that price range where does it rank?

One of our players bought an LE from Online stockists last year. It's great value and a cracking bat.

How good are the gloves? I'm keen on second pair.

Fair enough, each to their own! Personally, I really like it, picks up nicely and responds really well. :)

Well, if you take all the bats I've bought new for 150 and under, I would say that it ranks top, unless you count the Helios, which cost me £180, but I was meant to be refunded £50, which have yet to receive! With 38mm edges and a 60mm spine, weighing at 2.9, it's a pretty big bat for the weight! I guess my Bubble Star comes in at that price range, and although it performs nicely, it does pick up pretty poorly...

Hi Matt, they're nice and seem to wear in quite easily. Really good gloves, just a tad on the small side, but seem to stretch nicely.
