Was a bit bored, so decided to just take the bats out for some pictures. It's amazing how many 'wet weather bats' I manage to convince myself into buying...
From left to right:
L&W Reserve (Copy), L&W Reserve (First), Helios Atlas Reserve, Bulldog Amplus stickered as a Helios Midas, B&S LE non-concave Tendulkar shape, Python, Hits Hard Super G1, Red Ink Middling bat, SS LE (fuller shape), TON Gold Edition, Kangroo GDX 3000, B3 1 Stripe (Meant to be DB2, but I don't think it is), Gray Nicolls Ashes Custom, GM Six6 404 and a Slazenger V600 Xtreme.
Protective gear:
Lid - Ayrtek/Adidas Elite (Carbon fibre one)
Kookaburra - Kahuna K1000 small mens pads, Kahuna K1000 gloves (2012 edition, so top of the range)
Sareen - TON Gladiator 2 strap pads and SS Limited Edition gloves
I also have GN Legend pads and gloves, but they're actually a little disappointing if I'm honest. They are quite an old pair, (pads) but they don't offer as good protection as the Kookaburras, nor do they wrap round the leg as well. The Kookaburras weigh a little more, like 50g, but I'm more than willing to use a slightly heavier pad in this case. The TON Gladiators are like 640g, which is incredibly light! They are a little bulky though - is it not possible to make a pad which looks like the traditional pads which weight that much though? Or would the protection levels not be as high?
Match bats will be the Laver Reserve, Helios Atlas and the B&S for longer format and Kangroo for T20/wet weather.
