Newbery Thruxton bought from Asad at Uzi Sports and a Scat that I traded with the owner of Blank Bats, absolute sling shots just incredible bats!!

Youre right on the Scat John, it has hit some of the biggest sixes ive seen, sold it on to a team mate though.

Current bb match bat is very good indeed. But pick up and comfortability matters most to me now.

On the basis of how well it went from day one: Newbery Excalibur - 3 lb of lunacy. Those were the days... :(

Gray Nicolls Powerbow 5 star from 2005. Scored 1671 runs that season and it was a bullet of a bat.

My current HitsHard is fast becoming my best bat as the middle just seems to be getting bigger and bigger and also my choice Teutonic is very very responsive as well. The best pick up though is my Salix Falx just feels like a feather in the hand.

my 3 current bats,

Newbury GT Players - A gun from day 1
H4L Hellfire - bought off here for £90, beautiful had a broken handle for 6 months though now :( will get it repaired this winter
L&W Special Reserve - Beautiful bat, big bat and it absolutely flies. I won it in their comp last year, hit my highest score with it of 79.

I really want a GM Icon, everytime I see them in the shop I pick up a 606 to see if I could get lucky and it have a great middle. Can't justify spending the big bucks on an LE when have the 3 above. My search continues.

The best bat that I ever bought was in India 20 years ago.
An unknown brand to me, it was called a DSC.
Had the worst stickers ever with "power, timing, pick up, control" plastered over the edges!
But performance wise nothing I used before or since came close to it.
Didn't last long though, it broke after a season and a half :-[

my current blank bat that i got from soulman is made for me, i weighed it today thinking it was around the 2.9/10 mark and turned out to be 2.13! i'm not bothered by this as im only really bothered about performance and pick up. I seem to middle most shots with it which suggests that the shape is perfect for me. I got it for a steal of a price mainly due to very big bit of the toe being full of filler (which it has been since it had been made) but TK seems to have done a good job and it doesn't look to have any problems. Once the bat breaks i am likely to go to one of the bat makers on here to copy the shape.

My current bat, a Chase 175. Didn't really get on with it last season and was preparing to sell it this year, thought I'd use it in one last game...hit 30, middle going like a gun. Next game 47, again with the ball leaving the middle like a rocket. Needless to say plans to sell have been shelved...

The best I've owned is my SAF Origin - slightly at odds with the other thread about bad bats! I love it - it's not the prettiest but it's got a lovely long middle, really responsive so you know exactly how far you've hit the ball and it's beautifully balanced. well worth the 9 month wait!! :)

I had a very nice blueroom bat and strangely a spyder bat which was way to heavy, had a terrible pick up and i could only play front foot shots with it but i had my best season so far with it

May not be one I owned (Although I'm trying to get the owner to sell it to me as he's not been out of single figures for the last 2 seasons) is a Laver & Wood special reserve, first ball was shy of a length just put bat on ball (minimal back lift) straight six.....not hit one since.

My current TK 'Pro' (if there is such a thing!) which I got from Pete a few months back. He paid mega money for it direct from TK and apparently it was from a batch for a current international player. 2.9, no concaving, 40+mm edges, bigger than bats 3/4 ounces heavier. Feels deliciously soft! Probably won't last too long in comparison to most bats and I'm already saving to be able to afford to replace it! The face looks like crazy paving........I reckon it's at it's peak currently.
