Weight reduction .. worth it?

I bought a Gm Argon F2 808 couple of months ago and barely used it , It was an impulse buy and I realized it was tad too heavy for me when I was using it in the nets, So thinking of what to do with this bat....

Obviously I can sell it, but I was wondering would it be worth to get the weight reduced instead of that?
Does any of our forum sponsors do this kind of modifications? roughly how much am I looking at cost wise?

Got my Kookaburra Biggest Kahuna reduced from 3lb to 2lb 11oz and it still goes beautifully!
Cost me £15 from V Sports but obviously any of the forum sponsors will do a job as good if not better.

Depends on where the meat of the wood is, my bat had quite a bit of weight to the top and some in the toe so he took a lot of weight out of areas not near the middle, not affecting the performance. Will have to get it looked at.

Matt (from H4L) did my 666 from 2.12.5 down to 2.9 and it went just as well after, plus it picked up very nicely. Funny enough a clubmate has some weight taken off his bat by V-Sports, they did a good job by all accounts. Worth doing if you really like the bat and most forum sponsors will do it for around £30+postage I'd imagine.

Yeah had a GN done by Matt at H4L did an awesome job. Had 2-3 ounces taken off, obviously a lot of wood had to be removed but he did an excellent job, picked up really well when it came back and still had a great middle

Thanks Guys , In that case I would keep the bat and go with weight reduction route.

Dom Shillabeer took a bat of mine from 2lb 14 to 2lb 10 and reshaped it. It made a huge difference and is now a much more usable beast.

It had a 2.10 sticker when I bought it , Not sure that weight is with or without the grip though . When I weigh it on my kitchen scale readings are all over the place.
 
Main problem it the handle is ultra thin on these Argons , so have to add one or two grips to make it normal , also bat is bottom heavy so pick up is not the best.

I use a Kookabura Rouge which is 2.11 as my match bat but it has a good pick up and feels light on the hands.

Also bought a Aldred Silver Sov lately and it is 2.9... very light pickup.. so I'm spoiled for lighter bats now.

Well if the kook is your match bat why not just use this as your net bat... A lot of people use a heavier net bat to help with bat speed when going to your match bat.
