I would agree there.
I have a couple of excellent SS bats which are stunning.
But the Salix I have is also superb.
The only thing I would say is that if its too light, then that wont be good.

Yeah! Managed to blow around £100 since the beginning of the month. Also got stung with £15 postage on a pair of pads

Gloves were too weighty, I love light gloves which puma are!

Sold them pretty much brand new for £25 posted

Pads were comfy but I didn't like the different widths so swapped them with Outlaw for his LE's with a lil bit of cash

No not as bad in gray nics imo, kook are reasonable in my experience but still too big for my liking. top hats are one of my main priorities when buying pads! so i'm an expert ;):P
