it says the legend is made only using the finest English willow. Only hand selected clefts that represent the premium 1% of willow available will be used in the hand crafting of every Legend bat.

Sounds pretty top notch to me

Pretty top notch indeed! Wonder if there are better clefts around this forum though? Mike maybe?

Hes just scored 120 with it so it's hardly going to be a plank is it !!!! And don't think gn would issue him with anything but the cream of their crop to represent their brand. When kooks are priced at £375 everything seems to be on the up!

Does sound top notch, but the mess they have made over mike's (among others) custom pro perf. bats from lords means they do a little bit of lying ;)

You would need to be buying large volumes if clefts to find the 1% of premium stuff as explained last week at GM. Some clefts are found by luck when buying in bulk

talking of prices being on the up........

£100 RRp batting gloves...... OUCH

and as for the legend looking like a plank, i doubt Srauss has used a plank since he was a kid, if ever.......

Alot of money for some gloves that don't feature anything special, even if strauss had used a plank I'm sure he would still have scored runs...bit like the F1 lads on top gear in the reasonably priced car will extract the best possible result from what they have to work with :)

I wasn't saying his bat was rubbish. I'm on iPod touch so I couldn't see the grains so first impressions were: this is a plank!
