Was thinking the same thing but Paul's already knocked it in for me - A few sessions on the bowling machine perhaps?
If its already knocked in using it is your best bet, few hours in the nets required for you
how long did it take for your bat to soften up, if it did at all?
I've bought a 5* TT of Paul from IJC and love the balance and pickup but it still seems pretty hard. As Paul has mentioned to me the 5* bats are generally made of harder wood than the players/sps models, but I'd like to know if anyone else has had experience of this, and how long did it take for your bat to soften up, if it did at all?
What you are actually want is for the surface to become harder than the underbelly. Apparently.
Is this down to Newbery pressing SPS, Players and 5* models differently? Or will it be the individual piece of willow?
Just goes to show that things aren't always as they seem
And people on here can be a bit neurotic?
