If you think the wrist was a tough time our coach was Deanos side kick les stillman, we were playing against NOTTS at Trent bridge championship match it was the Saturday and in the days of Sunday league so you finished the championship on the Monday, Well it was going to be a tough day as I knew at some point during that day I would have the phone call as my father had been ill and was going to pass away so I told the coach and Deano and left my phone with them. We nearly bowled NOTTS out but Paul pollard batted well and won the game for them Deano bowled me hard that day and I bowled well with not much luck, I remember it like it was yesterday strangely. Anyway we lost about lunchtime just as I got in the changing rooms my phone went and off home I rushed. That evening I phoned les up and the conversation went like this
Myself. Les it's Aldo here just to let you know that I won't be available tomorrow as I need to be with the family, obviously a bit of a tough time for everyone.
Coach. Well that's your decision mate it will be hard to get back in the team as you have been playing well recently.
Myself. Well I appreciate that les but the obviously it's a tough time for my mum so I need to be home.
Coach. Well that's your decision let me know when your back in.
