So the bat is one its way back to USAI am adding the pictures sent by andy of the work done and that looks goodWill add a couple more pics when we have the bat hereAgain thanks laver and wood for taking this up
How certain are you that this would work? I could try it on the back to see it it works. If it does I can do the front!
Yeah Torque, that's the one. Thanks However, there was a before pic that showed how mangled it really was.
One of our new team members has this 10 year old laver & wood bat. Its a big bat almost 3 lbs and still going strong. There is no crack but just the surface chipping outI removed the face sheet and just cleaned the glue off from the sheet. What's the best way to work on this bat ?I can sand the face but i am afraid if a big piece chips out from the surfacehere are the pics:
That really shows how it can be done.
Okay back home. Here are the pictures of the refurbAll cracks have been glues shut, the surface is very smooth. Maybe I was expecting to much but i thought it would atleast come back one colour, lolLet me know your thoughts.
Agree with earlier posts that a light oiling would of helped to keep the blade the same colour.Sent from my Lenovo B6000-F using Tapatalk
NO nick just poor sanding oil will make the darker bits go darker and not so dark bit bit darker just needs more time spend on it looks like its been done by 7 year old sorry newbury but that's what I think
