Elasto Plast On Top Of Handle For Weight Counterbalance?

Saw Kallis had elasto plast on the top of his handle apparently to aid pick up and wondered if anyone had done this and if it works or not?

de villiers also does this and so does shah i think it helps keep top hand in control more

yeah quite a lot of people do it, i think they call it a counterweight.

they literally wrap elastoplast around the very top of the handle and loads of it to make this bit weigh heavier and keeps their top hand in control more ratheer than their bottom hand taking over, kallis has the most of it his is huge and shah and de villiers has a little bit

My Newbery Cobra's i had in the late 80's and early 90's had counter weights on the top of the handle, they were awsome 3lb bat that picked up like 2.9lb awsome.......never seen it on any other bats since......

The Newbery Multi Balance had a metal tube that unscrewed at the top and you added weights to change the balance, have a 3lb'er here that picks up a lot lighter.
