I am being greedy and I left out a BB, although the BB I have is a rocket!
I will try to decide on just 3 from that list then!

A lad pro'd for a local club down the road who I have a few mates at. Used a couple of his D&P's and they were absolute rockets.

1 - a hand crafted, joeljonno made, limited edition, G3 English willow custom-made, unique bat.

Then depending how well I do or not, probably

2- Aldred
3 - Red Ink, especially with that ashes offer coming up.

This thread has reminded me that I want more than three!

I forgot about the BB gold edition ones but sadly they might be priced out of wallet spending capability.

Black Mamaba Pro - the ones I saw were top notch!
I'm sure there are a dozen more that would make my shortlisty too!!  ;)

Did you not reserve one at Asad's? They were super awesome!

Jake at Vitas has really got my thinking about a GN or GM, the bats he been posting up look awesome to.

However my choice has to be limited by my new teacher Simonmay5, as he will be coaching me batting, he has politely told me to wait and see what type of batsman I am. Which is very reasonable.

Oh and just to touch on the Python subject, John is right, he did offer me a bat to try out and if I did not like it I could return it to him. He also told me not to buy a python because the Aldred and DS should be fine. As a consultant I am surrounded by opinionated people, however I think I have a good jist of who is usually talking balls and who is not. John is the latter, He is just a no holds bar type of guy, nothing wrong with that. Not once has he tried to sell me his bat but have me all the information I needed to make my own decision.

Anyways moving on......

Other brands I need to check out are B&S, Salix which is just down the road from my GF so would love to visit the workshop and H4L again nearby. These are bats that I'm interested in learning more about.

B3 is a brand that I think is cool, but there are so many other options that are more competitively priced and therefore worth looking at.

Mine is 2.12 and I'd be lying to you if I said it picked up like a feather, it picks up about right for the weight.

I guess this can be tweaked if you go the custom route which is still affordable.

You will have ample opportunity to do that on the 5th of December, mate!  ;)

We are visiting H4L next Saturday and will no doubt come away with some lovely new bats...  :)

That's the best thing about these guys, you can get them to make you a bat exactly as you want it and it doesn't cost the earth. I love the H4L branding, it's Different and a bit cheeky.
