I think Strauss was completly fair in refusing Smith a runner as greg stated unless you have got the injury during the game why should you be allowed a runner. His lack of fitness shouldnt allow him a runner from which they will benefit.

Well, why did Shah go off then?

I'm stating a fact. Take it how you see it.

So your saying every game at Centurion has been won by the side winning the toss?

Well 3 out of 4, South Africa lost against Sri Lanka when the rain arrived. So 75%, so not really a level playing field.

Wow, how can you argue with those kind of stats.
As our dear departed friend Winston suggested - "There are lies, damn lies - and statistics" - Those stats show nothing.

Unfortunately, as a partly trained statistician i am very much inclined to think this way :) - statistcs can be manipulated to show whatever the hell you want them to, take from them what you want.

Ha Jeet this is in one tournament! Could it not be that the sides who happened to win the toss outplayed the other sides? If you were to present scientific evidence with only 4 samples you would be ridiculed! Just think about your posts!

Well if there's only 6 matches in total to be played at the venue during the given event, I can't change the stats can I? I'm using what's available. I wouldn't say 323 vs 302 is one team totally out playing another.
