Hopefully the attached pictures are visible, first time using photobucket.

I recently visited Gary at choice willow and he was very helpful. Went through where I thought I went wrong with my last bat and the balance of it so asked for a slightly lighter pick up and higher middle which I did get (unfortunately I couldn't show him the profile of my last two bats as they were both stolen)

It weighs in at 2.9 but picks up more like a 2.7.

The one thing I was slightly disappointed with is I paid for the top of the range custom (5 of which were on show when I visited choice pre made for other customers) were a lot grainier than the one I have got, however it does have 9 straight grains which I am reasonably happy with.

I have only had a little knock about with this with a mallet and a ball and it does feel like it will ping.... Find out Sunday with my first winter net of the year ( bring on the pain Monday morning !!)

Let me know what you think guys ..

Cheers dan

No problem with the grains mate, 9 straight ones is pretty good looking. I have heard only nice things about choice bats, If I ever go to England I hope to pick one up. Hope it serves you well.

Personally I always go for 8-9 grains anyway so I think you're on to a winner here

A non standard fibre glass edging tape is being used
Did you fit this or choice
The reason I ask is that when replacing it
Always seems to come apart like string

If that pings as good as it looks, you've got your money's worth.

Was not an extra request just came with it, however as part of the package with choice I was informed I get a free winter service after the first season of using it....

So I presume refurb bit of sanding etc and making it look like new again.... Not sure if it will fray or not my last gray Nichols had it and I didn't have any issues with that.

Just an update on this bat....

Been going like an absolute train. Love everything about it and will most definitely be going back to choice for a new one when in need.
