Me netting.
« on: January 08, 2014, 03:46:33 PM »

A video of me having a net.

Video is actually about 18months old. I'm not technically gifted. More see ball hit ball. But it seems to work for me. I was trying not to cross bat, hence me getting mad at myself occasionally.

Enjoy, or don't. It's upto you. Lol

Touch of the Eoin Morgan's about your stance mate! If it works for you fine, but your timing isn't very consistent, and it doesn't help you on occasions, but if you like it, then go with it :D

Good mate, one thing I notice is you seem to walk a lot after most shots, also what I think would help you massively is if your more still at contact of the ball as this will allow you to hit it cleaner so should aid your batting

When playing the forward defence, you end up very square on with your right shoulder coming through and your head falling away. I had a similar problem and while it's not easy to get out of the habit, it's helped to make my offside game more consistent and secure.

Try working on keeping that left shoulder in front and that back foot planted along the crease line.

Probably more in nets than matches, but I did get stumped doing it. Once.

I don't mind, the forum can come up with a hundred points. As mentioned, I'm not technically gifted, but it currently it works. If that fails. Then I shall be in this thread to pick up some points and try them in the nets(may do anyway regarding the forward defencive)

The forum can come up with 1000 points, you can only work on one at a time.

Perhaps, and how would you fix it?

By the way: I agree with you, and I think all 3 are similair!

I found the two best things to improve my offside driving was hitting underarm feeds with my top hand only (then beginning to introduce the bottom hand once I became more consistent and in control) and focusing on grounding my back foot in a rocking motion to transfer my weight forward without losing my shape.

thought you were going to put that one over the trees!!

You bat in the first video like the bowling is a little too easy for you.
