« on: January 12, 2014, 03:17:25 AM »

Normally ashes winners lose the odi's. Don't see it happening this time.
Don't see England winning a game. Probably why no thread

Interesting that Chris Jordan has been selected.

I've read a bit of stuff on here about how good Joe Root could/will be in the future. After watching him this summer and that last painful half hour I have no confidence at all in the kid. Scratching around for 20 balls and then wasting the one review when he was clearly out, reminds me of Watson. Terrible to watch at the moment and I think needs what happened to Clarke when he was dropped from the squad altogether. Looks out of his depth.

Agree with potzy; getting dropped would probably do Root a world of good. That being said, Watson pulled through.

Sort of. :/

No co-incidence that the two who had a lot of issues in the test series both struggled.

Bad drop, but to put a potentially racist comment like insinuating country of birth is the reason is a bit harsh. It is not as if every catch is always taken.

Settle down fella how is that racist in any shape or form. Everyone drops catches, was using polite sarcasm and a little jab that England have a bloke from Zimbabwe playing for them. Take a chill pill hey.

Just an edit here, I've played high level cricket in the uk and Australia with Jamaicans, Indians, Pakistanis, Zimbabweans, South Africans, Sri Lankans.....have the utmost respect for anyone of any race. To even mention a comment as racist on a forum is pretty offensive mate.

Anyway back on topic....England should be well on top, fielding is letting them down a bit.

Why should they? Dropped chance aside, they didnt make enough  runs and arent taking any wickets,  aust will cruise to victory with a number of overs to spare.

Explaining what you meant by the comment will probably clear it up.
