Paul does put a union jack on the top of the handle. Has done on both of my bats at least: a massive 2lb 8oz players grade velocity from 2013 and a similar weight and chunky spectre this year. Paul's finish and attention to detail is second to none IMH, and the UK/ Derby connection makes an ex pat all the more proud to be using his bats in Australia!

Love the made by humans sticker adds a bit of humour, with it being a handcrafted quality bat.

Well Abdul before my cricket career I worked for a building company that worked on national trust properties and we had to do everything in the traditional manner using traditional skills.from Using block and tackle to hoist stone window heads and sills rather than cranes etc, using old lime mortar mixes and traditional timber skills. So that tactile method and love of creating something by hand is in my bones really and I truly believe that we owe past trades and tradesmen the honour of preserving the art and not just being drawn into mass manufacture or sterilising or cheapening the skills that it takes to create things by our own fair hand just because we have the option to make anything on machine at a far greater pace and cutting out that little bit of hard graft and time that it takes to create something worthwhile and with a sense of love put into it.

Paul, that Spectre looks an absolute beauty mate. Always been a fan of the Velocity, but I'm really liking the Spectre profile at the moment. It looks very well balanced with loads of wood in the hitting zone. I play with the bloke who is getting this bat, and he can't wait to get his hands on it. He's a classy bat, I'm sure he'll score bucket loads with it.
