He also has a pronounced knob at the top of the handle just like Kallis' Slazenger.

Looking forward to tomorrow,

He has every chance of getting to the triple - if you want to set batting records, you won't find too many nicer bowling lineups to face than India, especially now that they have their heads down

He surely deserves that triple.. very well played!

I saw 2 springs in the handle in a cricinfo pic yesterday. I thought all Laver handle have 3. Any other handles with 2 springs besides SCAT?

I have 2 Puma's with two springs on them.

He deserves the triple and I hope he gets there. I think the best India can hope for is now a draw, and they need to be careful as NZ will be fired up when bowling.

Anyone knows what weight his bat might be?

2-11 is slightly higher that I would have thought, would have guessed maybe 2-7 or 2-8. Thanks for the info mate.

Not just 300, think he's got a chance for 400+ now
Would be a great effort

I agree with you, I suspect it might have been why he discarded it. He does have a fair amount of customisation done on his handles thou.

Id say Indian made. I'm sure he gets the pick of the bunch and with so many good bats coming out of India now I don't see why he wouldn't.

I know India likes to take credit for everything but pretty sure Rob's made a few for him in the last year or two. Not everything comes from India!

Been dropped 3 times...

Shows how dreadful the Indian fielder are.

South Africa dropped a few too in the last test to allow marsh and co get tons.

England did too during the winter. Seems to be going around, then again,India have never been the best at catching.

The NZ commentators were talking about how he scrapes away the bottom of the handle to leave a very narrow bottom hand grip that he can strangle with his bottom hand..

also the CricHQ sticker on the back of his bat is a NZ cricket scoring company that does live scoring for the majority of clubs in New Zealand and its starting to spread all over the place. I believe he is a brand ambassador, nothing to do with the ownership or running of the company itself.

IMO, I think around 2-9/2-10 and counter-weighted at the top of the handle to make the pickup more like a 2-7/2-8.

edit: just read the link Jogetnz posted and it's fiarly similar to what I'd imagined...
