1st league game, 1st win. Won the toss, bowled first and restricted the oppo to 157-7 off 50. Bowled 10 overs 2-24. Chased them down and won by 6 wickets. Disappointed getting bowled on 11 but a win is a win!

Losing Draw in our first league game, somehow managed to play 90 overs out of 100 with a few showers Inbetween. Pitch played fantastically well considering it is only April. Oppo got 180-4 opened the bowling 1-16 in my first spell of 6 with a lovely In swinger to bowl their left handed opener but bowling at the death unfortunately didn't go so well 1-34. Only positives were that I didn't go for too many boundaries just lots of singles and two's. 3 ball duck top edging a sweep to square leg while batting at 5 topped off an ordinary day and we crept to 128-6 off 40 overs.

Played my first game today and it went really well.
Went in at 3 and hit a 6 followed by 2 very nice shots for 4
But fell for 15 after only 4 overs batting to a slow fullish delivery
That didn't get up and slowed up and stopped on me but hey ho
Felt good to hit the middle. Then bowled 2 overs and took a wicket

We won by 40 runs and had a very good day with the weather.

Very disappointed that our match got called off.

Got to away ground and inspected the wicket, square and bowler's run-ups which were absolutely fine. One half of the pitch is dry but the bottom half is a bit damp but no standing water and just a bit squelchy in 2-3 places with total area of less than a car parking space. Remember this is April in Yorkshire, not late July at The Oval. Meanwhile the groundsman is wandering around saying "you aren't going to play on there" to anyone within earshot which most of us politely ignore as according to the rules of our league, the decision to play has got sod all to do with him anyhow as it's the umpires decision. Home umpire finally arrives (10 minutes after the scheduled start of play !!!!) and along with groundsman, beats our umpire into submission and match is called off.

Feels like that was 21 points dropped because the opposition only had a single victory last summer and yesterday included 2 people who didn't actually have any kit.

No cricket yet.

Today's game called off on Friday, Thursday's T20 already in doubt and no organised cricket on the Bank Holiday week-end.

Very ordinary indeed.

Quite unbelievable game.

Bowled 9 overs straight off, took 3 wickets, including both gun batters.
Turned a few on a green top.

Not bad for a batter and very occasional bowler.

Had tea which wasn't great.

Opened the batting first ball sun was out lovey drive for 4, by end of the over chucking it down. First ball next over nicked off. Next ball off and not back on.

End of the day, not a happy batter >:(

YDSCL?  Were you at Duncombe Park?

You can always contact the league to see if they can send a representative if teams cannot agree.

First friendly yesterday as our last 3 games have been cancelled! I dont think I could have kept any worse, thankfully only one catch came my way which I grabbed. Went in at 3 to bat and middle one onto my pads, to be given out LBW (cue the sulking). We were only chasing 116 in 40 overs with a slow out field we did it in 25 is with the loss of two wickets.
