Today's intra club game was called off due to the pitch being too wet.

Did have a three hour net session instead, felt good with the bat and got a bit of rhythm going when I bowled, was getting a bit tired towards the end though so went downhill a bit.

Can't wait for the first game of the season now!

had my first game today, was against a prem side with a mixture of 1's and 2's playing including an england under 19 player from the recent tour, Felt decent batting but got caught on 15. Kept average nothing was easy on an early April pitch though :D

Played a little Sunday friendly today and managed to smash a ball into my foot and watch it roll onto stumps lol for 35 cheers.

Bowled nicely but the green top helped, bowled there number 4 with a Jaffa that seemed and removed off stump from the ground whilst he was squared up which was a nice feeling. A good first weekend in some lovely weather today was well.

Fortunately I was at 4 today as they wanted to look at new players. He went from 100 to 155 in 15 balls so tbh, can really compete with that

I got it in 54 balls so wasn't exactly slow either.

Got my first game this Saturday vs Old Parks in Fairlope, would be looking forward to it more if I had not sprained my groin in the final nets on sunday.

Should be a good laugh as I was going to join Old Parks this year.

Ah, who do you play for Koko?

Last Saturday's game made the bbc sports news page as Mervyn Westfield whacked a ton against us.  They had out all first teamers whereas we had 2 ones, 2 twos and the rest threes and lower!  We were always on for a whooping!

They racked up 300 in 50 overs and rolled us for 80 odd.  Top scored with 21 and got to face Merv's first ball back, cut over point for two, bang ;)  Typical that I see out his spell and get out next over to some dibbly-dobbly bowler.  After that we lost our last 7 wickets for 11 runs, those 11 being 10 wides and a no ball!

Two games this weekend too, getting back into it :D

Play for a new club, Bloomsbury Royals only formed two years ago, they play friendlies all round East London.
Not the ideal club as there home ground is a hours train journey away, just got back into playing last year.
