Amazingly, we got a full game in after it threw down at one. Wind has a lot to answer for. Middled one fine and keeper took a good catch. Lost properly to a better side. Move on and roll on next week.

Doesn't seem to be giving you an unfair advantage so far!  ;)

I got an apology from an umpire today over his decision to give me out lbw for 40 (I inside edged it and showed him the bat when the scum bowler appealed). He gave me out to then be told by the square leg umpire I'd hit it and that he was just up wind so couldn't hear it due to wind. :(

Very nearly cost us the game but fortunately didn't.. Livid it ruins my run of 50's though :(
Rain stayed away which was awesome.

We had a shocker today bowled out for 59. The track and square were fully covered so no excuses there bowlers bowled well and it was swinging and seaming a lot but 59 with our line up is awful. Few dodgy calls opening partner given out caught ff his thigh pad, few unlucky including me who edged onto pad bounced up onto back of my bat and trickled into stumps but too many awful shots.

Our bowlers were superb openers both bowled with great pace and great length and we managed to knock them 5 down but just not enough. Took a couple of regulation nicks behind but not a great day all in.

12 all out.. That is a shocker.
59 would be respectable.

Somewhere between the two of these, last season my uni 2s, myself included, were skittled on a flat deck in perfect batting conditions for 50. We only had 9 people there when the last wicket fell, and the eight wickets to fall all went to some really lucky fella. At one end there was a guy beating the bat time and again with pretty good pace, then this medium pacer that looked smashable from the boundary, then we all tried to smash him too far... We lost by 10 wickets, oppo batted for about 8 overs!
Today, unfortunately, my club was supposed to be hosting a county match for the first time, but Bucks u10s vs Bedfordshire u10s had to be cancelled because of the rain yesterday. We are getting another chance later in the season, hosting the Bucks u13 girls I think.

Played a proper Sunday game today.

Timed cricket.
Good banter with the oppo.
Abusing your own team (much better than sledging).
Us 153 all out.
Them 154-6.
Who cares about figures, cricket was the winner!

(I only got 1 but bowled 11 overs 1 maiden 2-35
Our U15 reserve keeper was tidy behind the stumps
One of our all rounders bowled well and got 30 odd
We dropped 9 catches in all, including 6 in the first 8 overs)

And my shocking start to the season continues. 2 today before plumb lbw after facing 21 balls. We scored exactly 100 with me the only person over 20 and 2 players that on,y ever played school cricket cos they had to for PE.

Season so far is 6,18,37,1,2

Took 2 very nice catches in slips though and bowled well today so that's ok.

What match kit you using as I'm sure that x181 needs a new home

Played Saturday for a bit then the rain came and made us have to abandon the game.

Managed a score of 2 before nicking off to their opening bowler. Wet + Cold conditions do not make batting easier!
