No idea.
I've never put him on the gun. He is getting quicker all the time. I train with him a lot and we net a lot. He's a big unit now. 6 ft 3 inches.

Our keeper stands 18 yards or so back and takes them waist high.
He can certainly hit me at will.

Sounds very promising

Is he cutting it off the pitch or just relying on pure pace

Played pickwick on saturday.
We racked up 288 on a nice deck, bit up and down as the ball got older. Got 40 in the first 13 overs  opening, went back to something I shouldve got forward to and chopped on. Number 3 got 79, number 4 got 94, then we stumbled in the last 10 overs.
They came out and blitzed us.we did well to make it last 46 overs. Long session in the field.
Atherstone this week so should be another batting day.

Lost again Saturday, Thornbury hit 261-7 and we were left on 235 from 50 overs.

I managed to hit 62, the highlight smashing a Gloucestershire spinner for 30 odd from his 3 overs. Was tricky at the other end though, as they had a guy who's just been signed for Surrey bowling left arm spin, his name is Sayeem Waliullah, he turned it absolutely miles and looks a real prospect!

I also bowled my first real spell in first team cricket, and got 1-40 from ten overs :)

To say I'm hacked off about my season would be an understatement. Just had tonight's game called off as opposition can't get a team. This is the 3rd game in a row called off, so not played for 2 weeks now. I was just finding some form and set leave the house to go on tour to Liverpool 2 weeks ago when the misses got herself rushed into hospital with an appendicitis. Just about sums up the season. My village team have been a joke this season. We only play Wednesdays and Sundays and have played just 14, with 4 rained off and 11 conceded, 7 of which by us. I've been the one trying to get a team out each week as the chairman who was doing it quit the roll 3 weeks into the season. I now know why as we've only had 11 players out 3 times this season. Nets were very well attended before the start of the season but it's all gone pear shaped since. I've played for the club for 26 years but finally feel enough is enough. I'll see the season out but will be looking to play elsewhere next year. Very sad but I just want to actually play cricket during the cricket season.

My season is over due to the knee injury I picked up a few weeks ago and haven't been able to shake. Went to the Doctors this morning and I have meniscus damage and the likelihood is going to be an op. Every cloud though as my knee has been bad for years, so hopefully I'll get a new lease of life and be back in time for next season fully fit and raring to go.

On the nhs? Good luck getting that done before Xmas.

Glad you've got it looked at and assessed though.

From my dealings with them at work I'll be the first to disagree lol

They've treated me fine so far, I've only paid £200 excess on about £10k worth of diagnostics/treatment this year alone!

Played my first game in nearly a month tonight.. I Bowled very poorly and dropped two catches although they ended up on a very chase able 115 off their 20 overs. In reply we started slowly, I got in and was on 5 runs off 3 balls when I received a ball which pitched outside leg and hit the top of middle.. Even if I was playing every week I'd still have struggled to keep a ball like that out! My wicket sparked the collapse and we ended up all out for 63.. Disappointing to perform so poorly especially as due to work this could be my penultimate game of the season..

Well end of my winter LMS season.

Been pretty productive I suppose, 14 matches, 431 runs at 47.89 with a 148 strike rate. Bowling has been less effective, people seem to enjoy my very average off spin, 12 wickets at 24.

Hoping to do a little better in longer games coming up - means I'll def be needing a new bat - new bat more runs as far as I'm concerned haha.

Just received a message it's stopped rain inning in Worcester  the groundsman as taken the covers off we are playing there will be a delay to allow the bowlers runup  and outfield  to dry.

In terms of sat cricket 2014 can not end soon enough.

Another crap day personally and 4 the team. After losing to top last week after a poor allround performance(and losing our last chance to catch them), we today played our rivals for 2nd, decent fielding and bowling performance, but then we failed miserably with the bat. And lost by 20 runs, when we had set up a good win. And will probably struggle to finish higher than 3rd now.

Personally I got 6 runs, not a great innings, obviously, but I just seem to not do the simple things easily. I look a mug the way I'm getting out.
And despite winning avg for 1sts in 2011 and 12. I cant even get a bowl 6th change this year. As was unfit first half of season, and without any form of practice, I'm not gonna get back to match fitness.

Bring on the winter nets and 2015 I say!
