Pre season starts tomorrow. First indoor net. Which will mean only one thing...come Thursday I'll be as stiff as a board!

Exploits this weekend have got me back into the club firsts, which probably means batting down the order and not bowling a huge amount. 1s captain was watching on Sunday though, and in his message was full of praise. Cumbrian Pete, no need to be concerned, not 'that' sort of follow through, but that really would have added a bit of extra humour to the situation! Also, discovered last night that my brother, who opens the bowling at Firle in Sussex, was on a hat-trick on Saturday, and a catch was dropped off his hat-trick ball! Would have been incredible if we had both got a hat-trick on the same day. My average for the season, according to play-cricket, is now in the 40s, but it doesn't include a knock of 60 and one of 4.

In the 3rds this weekend, going to an away game that isn't the nicest area. Let's just say I'll be leaving my iphone and wallet at home...

Sat age grade game of the season yesterday, it was sadly stopped after our innings in which we scored 134-2 off 20 overs. Went in with 4.3 overs to go and hit 14 off the 6 balls I faced. That was the first time in 2 seasons I've been not out and into double figures. Our thirds captain was there and said I'm promoted Saturday, let's hope I can bag myself some more runs. Really looking forward to it now.

Umpire I had a disagreement with last Saturday has come out of retirement to play in the 3rds, and I've been dropped to the 3rds #ILoveCricket!!!

retired, playing rubbish got a few ducks dont have time to train and there are younger better players who im getting a game of instead. Played my last game on sunday won and finally got some runs after a total of 3 so far. So got 23 to knock the average for the year upto 5.

Slipped on the carpet at outdoor nets last night and damaged my knee it's swollen it could be my meniscus again or arthritis I am giving it the RICE treatment this morning also rang the skipper and told him i am doubtful for Saturday he has told me he only has 11 players available  and the opposition have a tasty opening bowler so i have agreed to play if I can its my back leg my plan will be to play most balls of the front foot and  leave balls outside off and down the legside. Unless there's improvement cannot see myself being able to run though.
