I did a pitch inspection on the way to work this morning, I turned up and no jokes there was a heron on the outfield!

Playing at a bog today! A ground that has a marked off bog in the outfield during the heights of summer! Never mind after last nights biblical downpour.

Apparently still on so should be fun!

Up to the seconds today, which is good to play at that standard but I never get to do anything just bowl. Why call me up if I'm not going to do anything? Anyway we were 83 points clear in first place and we were playing second place. We put them into bat after winning the toss, after 13 overs they were 33-1 but after 23 overs they were all out for 57. We chased it down with just one wicket going down.

Overall, it was a successful day for the club with our 1st and 3rd both recording wins.

Full game in today, and as predicted didn't bowl at all, and batted 10. Oppo bowled out for 130 in 48. We collapsed to 15/4, our Bucks u17 then got 39 and broke the pavilion door window, lucky it was an away game! Another collapse after he was out, helped by some distinctly suspect umpiring. Went in 10 needing 29 to win, batting with number 9, we put on about 15, and then I got an absolute shocker of a trigger. Went back and across from outside leg to middle and leg, ball angled down leg from r/a over, went to turn to midwicket with my front foot back to the crease line but clearly outside leg, and was triggered LBW for 8. Number 11 then run out by 9, and we lost by about 15. To make matters worse, I got an earful from said 9 when I went to pack my bag, and also as he came in from the middle, he booted the wall around the pavilion, and then booted a plastic chair straight into my chest, so I survived the best fast bowler in the league, who got 7 against us, only to get a chair shaped bruise from our opening bowler!
We should have won, but 3 of us got shockers and that ultimately cost us what was a pretty badly spirited game from start to finish. Personally annoyed that the captain didn't trust me to bat, and also didn't bowl me at all, instead using two defensive 'spinners' who hardly do anything with the ball. Very frustrating day all told, hopefully a game tomorrow if the weather is clear!

We got beaten again today!
Posted 126 all out (I was one of 5 players to get double figures, 10* batting at 11!)

We lost by 5 wickets in 35 overs, I took 2-48 off 10 and rather enjoyed playing 3rd team cricket.

Not a chance of it. Everyone else thinks he was bang out of order, but he seems to think he can get away with it. If someone had attitude like that in my Sunday team, they wouldn't keep their place in the side, end of!

Make a complaint to the committee mate. I'd be having strong words at the least I had managed to restrain myself from swinging a bat at his bonce.

We scored 208 for 6 in our 46. It took nearly 4 hours.  Then we bowled them out for about 140, I opened the bowling and took 2 for about 17 of 7. Had their highest scorer dropped off me when he was on not a lot.  It took us 3.5 hours to bowl 35 overs.  Very slow,  and had that catch stuck the game would have finished much earlier.
