I only caught 15 mins but thought it was strange that morkel didn't bowl 4 straight off with the new ball. Instead they opted for some left arm spinner on a greentop. I think part of the problem is its an Indian tournament and the Indian players to some extent cone first. Who wants to watch Pollard when you can have some Indian born player who is far more attractive to Indian audiences.

I don't think they could afford to.. on one end they had Vinay Kumar (lesser said, the better) & a few of the local bowlers (none of them to boast about). The only other bowler who could make a dent was Sunil Narine. I think they wanted to have Morkel bowl when Pollard would come into bat. It's another story that by then the match was as good as over when Pollard came into bat.

Anyone know if they show highlights in the evening? The mrs probably wouldn't enjoy the TiVo being taken up with hours if cricket!

That was Shakib from Bangladesh-one of the best all rounders in limited overs at the minute! I highly doubt that was the thinking. Some teams (RCB) prefer to just throw their best players out there and if they come off it's great, but MI have always had this weird mindset that their big hitters can turn a game in the last 5. That probably works in India where it's much better for batting on the T20 wickets, but the way the pitch looked in Abu Dhabi yesterday, you probably needed 20 balls to settle in first!

No gayle no pietersen.

Kinda of a let down on the bug gun front.

Suppose we still. Have kohli de villiers yuvraj  and a morkel to watch! Which makes me think that. Rcb have the batting line up to beat Delhi.
There line up both batting and bowling does not look strong enough to me.

Clearly a one sided affair at the moment.

Delhi batting falling like a house of cards.

I haven't followed the build up, any reason as to why?

Surprised how late Taylor is batting.
Looks like another 1 sided game

Pietersen has a broken finger

Gayles back has gone.

Yes deffo one sides, 37for4 of 8. Ross Taylor just trotted in, let's see if he can help.

Karthik proved his 2m bid was worth. Lol

I personally think he is a very good talent and like watching him even when he innovates.
I think he suffers with lack temperament and often throws away his wicket.

He's very pretty when he's batting, but for 2 million dollars, i'd want someone with a better temprament and someone who doesn't throw his wicket away quite so often, as well as looking pretty whilst he's batting!

THE cricket event returns huh?  The place where those that can't cut it anymore go for a hit for old times' sake and those that are the best in the world get to be multi millionaires lapdogs?  Where the commentators are so impartial and understated (TMS it aint!).  Still, at least the integrity of the competition is intact...

The irony with KP - hates being controlled, yet sells himself to the highest bidder.

Its a circus and not even one where you see the best cricket - not for me thanks.  Me and the good lady painted the living room yesterday, may watch that until it needs a second coat...
