Well I'm glad to bring you a forum offer which is great value for money and a very good product.

Here are some examples

Butterfly willow well I'm not going to steal the Doctor thunder who will be on here very soon to explain what butterfly is or is not to dispel many rumors which exist about the product.

We will not be selling these from any other source bar the forum so grab a bargain these are a few pictures of the top layer of butterfly clefts i saw when i was down there.

There will be actual pictures of the bats very soon as there going to be made into a DB1 shape to keep the weight down because believe it or not most butterfly willow is heavier than it's cleaner cleft encounterpart due to the butterfly stain weighing more than normal sap or heartwood but there are exceptions to this rule.

You can select your handle shape and the weight of the bat and potentially the look of the bat as more pictures will come online over the next few days.

The DB1 shape is this

The Doctor describes this as a modern shape which has proved a very popular shape over the last few years amongst the pro's. With a mid to high swell position, combined with the pronounced scoop profile the DB1 really is a bat that picks up really nicely, still maintaining a very large edge size. A comment that we hear a lot is look at the size of that and "how light is this" in our showroom when people pick this beauty up. This bat is suited to the all round play maker who likes to hit the ball.

The scooped profile allows mass to be removed without sacrificing the edge or spine height allowing us to achieve big looking, lightweight bat.

Now i can assure you these where not hand picked as the best butterfly there where of the top of the rack and now another good point price

Nope they will carry no stripe Tony they are a special forum only type offer exclusive to the forum mate.

Ah right Dave. Can you chose which end of the cleft you want handled? Just because theoretically if there was a butterfly cleft with a big stain at one end of the bat if you got that end handles it should improve the pick up as there's more weight up top

Nope these will be pre made bats which the Doctor will decided what is best for each bat mate. After all he is the expert but I like the way your thinking Tony and that point has been talked about but there more to I than that the doctor will be on in the next few days to talk clefts and so forth mate.

Just wanted to further clarify, do you have to select the DB1 profile or can you use one of your own that was created previously to suit your specific requirements (I assume B3 still saves the profiles designed by their customers previously).

Gutted its db1 profile only. Was interested until i read that.

Will have a word with streaky regardless this week. As im gonna have to phone regarding a handle.

We certainly do keep every shape ever made the number on your handle is your code a very good point that mate and one which will be clarified.

But because of the weight of your initial cleft the bat would not be the same if you get my meaning.

I like the idea of other shapes made it is a work in progress but was advised only DB1 which i like as a profile on offer so we can make them up and have them ready.

Plus the aim was to keep the price down as Bespoke and Custom in the other ranges cost more hope this help but i do see your point about shapes already on the machine.

Plenty of research has gone into profiles and shapes.

Thanks for the reply mate. Could I also ask then if the clefts you have selected for this offer could cater to a wide variety of weights. For example, I use bats north of 3 lb whilst most other people would use much lighter bats.

Also if I could ask from a pricing perspective, do you take the VAT off for non EU residents on this offer as well (I know B3 do generally based on my previous order).

Aldred charges a lot more for a butterfly bat...I think it's around �175 so I think it's reasonable

An item is only as worth as much as someone is willing to pay. I am sure at �125 there will be a huge amount of interest. I'd have liked it if you could have a choice of clefts etc. But I am sure the boys at B3 won't disappoint you

There not �10 pound either maybe about time Western Suburbs comes out with his real name.

We stand behind the price as we say it is competitive there are cheaper and there are dearer this is our product and we stand behind it just like the other makers do and i can't speak on there behalf but we do not put out bad equipment we do our best for customers and people should know me by now i will not just put up any old crap. I will not say i'm butterfly willows biggest fan but i wouldn't turn my nose at it either in our price range it is priced under the 1 stripe so fits the structure.

But subjective questions are most welcome we have a open house policy at B3 hope that helps mate.
