Dave here is a question for you/B3/all other brands: Do all butterfly stained clefts always have Heart wood? or are there some that are just the stain but no heart wood?

Out of interest whats the heaviest and lightest clefts B3 have had Dave?

The stats around that would be fascinating to see.

Over the 2 years that we have been making bats and the 1000's of clefts that have gone through our hands the lowest density cleft I have seen is 344 and the highest 450 - this equates to approximately 10oz difference in finished bat weight for a given model.

I hope this answers your question.

Which if I'm not mistaken could make a 2-10 volumed bat come in a smidgen over 2-4.

I have edited the density due to a error another butterfly was 392 not mine was a tad ligher.

Bit of a round up of my designed profile great bat is going well and seem in demand all over the place.

Great profile and balance with the hitting area in te right place.

What impresses me most is the confidence in the butterfly mark in the hitting area it sounds different but goes like a cannon

It is alovely shape, I had one made for a team mate in 2.13, and nearly kept it, but Instead I went and found a cleft on the shelf that made me one in 2.14!

Lovely pick up, just knocking it in now, may well use it a week on sat.

When are you getting more butterfly clefts in? Next time you do I'd love to get a couple of 380 or lower density made into this shape or the Wagg.

I like this cleft. Perfect position of the butterfly, nice profile. Nice low density (under 400) in about 2lb9oz would be perfect
