Taps up well. Sounds nice, but yes this is a very softly pressed bat. After the 'normal' oiling and knocking in period I took it to the nets and its come back with some pretty large dents.

I don't think their pressed very well. I'm noticing it's still making indentations in some spots with the mallet after I leave it for a day or so. Needs more knocking in. It does seems to be getting better.

Handy!
Arrived today, Pretty tidy bats.

one 2.9 (35mm edge) and the other two 2.10 (both 37mm edges) with some nice heartwood.

one of the 2.10's has about 15-16 straight grains and looks nice but doesn't tap up as nice as the other 2.10 that has about 10 grains.

The 2.9 picks up like a 2.7 or so, very light.

Pictures to come.

Pleased to say mine is coming good after lots of love from the mallet. Handle is very stiff and needs a few more nets to loosen up a bit and improve the feel of the bat. Pickup is typical of a bat with so much wood near the toe.

I think it will be my bat for decks keeping low where I'll be driving and nudging more than cutting or pulling.

My Mongoose Torq, which feels amazing btw (cue Choir :D), will be my regular bat for even decks with a bit of life. Both are the same weight with extratec/edge tape and grips 2.12.

Mine seem to have quite a low middle, and sound a little planky under the stickers, hopefully will come good with some knocking in.

Yep pretty much nothing above the top of the V1200 stickers on the edge. If you look at the concaving on the top half of the bat you will see why. Not a bat for late pull shots. Front foot bullies need only apply.

I guess this is what I was trying to explain. Red indicates the sweetspot and green where the mallet/ball seems to rebound nicely.

:o That's a flipping low sweetspot on the Slaz. Good 'pudding' bat.

Hi, I'm new to the forum and picked up a V1200 Fusion from sports direct (for £50) last week after seeing this thread.

Mine isnt the best looking - has 7 fairly straight grains but there was a blemish (butterfly stain?) hidden under a sales sticker. Started knocking it in and the ping seems pretty good, especially near the blemish. Would be great to hear how the ones everyone bought played last year and how much knocking in they need.
