Well after designing the DW I wanted to create something else with smaller edges and a massive spine yet have maximum wood in the blade.

I came up with this..

My cleft which Streaky had saved for me is a 364 and the finished weight of the bat will be around 2lb 8oz with a massive oval handle.

30mm edges at the highest point with a 60mm spine zero concaving.

I have left the wood at the top to equal out balance in the way the famous 1271 profile did.

Nice shape, very similar to the Sirius profile.

Not so sure on that buddy lot bigger up top near the handle and much bigger shoulders more like the 1271 mate up top bar a 5mm drop on both the spine and shoulder than on my 1271.

Also spine is set at 14inch from the top as it my main hitting area found on my 1271.

But thanks mate i guess it will become more clear when it comes out think DW1 mixed with 1271 ..

Could you not move the middle higher and redistribute some of the shoulder wood towards the toe. Just thinking at your height you must hit the ball higher up.

No for pick up i like the weight high in the shoulder and in the spine near the handle Why weight in the toe.

No amazingly 14inch down is my pinnacle of power over 2k runs have passed through my bat and bar the 14-13 inches down centrally there no cracks the middle is battered.

I hit the ball most in that area.

I thought somebody said the sweet spot was just below the middle, which would mean the middle needs lifting an inch of so higher?

This bat is prefect for me I feel this is the 1271 direct replacement.

I see your logic but I designed this for pick up and power over lightness and think I will get what I want.

Your right but that why it has big shoulders and a 40mm spine running in to the handle it got machined will get pictures mate.

Please remember a couple of inches of the toe





Very happy with how it starting to turn out it hard to gadge from a picture but the spine near the shoulders is 40mm the shoulders at 14mm when finished
