Not surprisingly, a fair few GMs being used in the notts v yorkies match, have to say they look quality. I think its the white label that sets the bats off, the softs finish it off  nicely just the right amount of colour. Glad i placed my order for my first dip into GM.

they've certainly achieved what they set out to as regards the brand being recognisable on telly etc.

This is my first post on here so be kind.... As my nickmane on here suggests I have a fascination with Gunn and Moore and have since the days of the Steve Waugh pulling apart attacks with his GM bats that give me fond memeories as a youngster. We seem to be blessed most years in experiencing some of the new models for example in Australia the Mogul this year due to the timing of our summer. I can see that there is a streamlining of the stickers of the 2015 range and have to say I am impressed that they have made this branding choice as I know particularly in Australia they are quite popular. Keep up the good work GM and I look forward to getting over to the UK and seeing the 2015 range when I come to play Village over there.

Welcome Tragic, great name!

Glad you like the brand evolution - it is all about "Let's be clear. We make bats".

Kind regards

Thanks for the questions Chad :

1 we don't sell direct to consumers, we only supply the trade
2 you are quite right about the preference for GM Now and ToeTek as standard in he UK. We can do other configurations but need to do so in batches with a minimum quantity.
3 we send ranges of bat weights to retailers, we don't tend to supply specific weights

I could understand how this could a sound rather proscriptive - it isn't really in practise and all comes back to the fact that trees don't seem to listen to us when they are growing that "could we only have 2 lbs 6 oz straight grained bats please"!

Kind regards

Edward

Thanks for answering my questions, Edward! If you could make a batch of Aura 808s with the natural finish, with a couple of 2.10s with a pick up index of 2, and send them to Vitas, that would be great! :D ;)

Again, great job with the range!

As I said in the Lord's thread, I had a good look at the new GM range today, and I have to say I was very impressed.  There is a lovely array of shapes in there, and they all pick-up really well for me! I also think the decals are vastly improved from previous years and I liked the fact that the face cambers aren't as confusing now, with the F4.5 being pretty much the default option nowadays, and far more prominent than the F2 and F7.  The Original Duffle was another highlight for me - quite possibly the most organised duffle I have ever seen - and a nice addition to the range.

I also like the way they demonstrated the benefits of Poron XRD on the stand, and the difference this foam provides for protection is really eye opening!

So, although we still won't stock your bats, Edward, I would like to congratulate you on the range.

Sorry to drag up an old thread.

A question for those that have seen the duffle bag, the bat pockets on the side, are they padded at all etc? or could you get a bat cover inside them?

Taking a bat on the tube is a scary thing!

Cheers.

They are padded but they can still take a bat in a bat cover - hope that helps

Kind regards

Best of both worlds then!

My duffle has taken a right beating this year, so will probably invest in a new one and the GM is leading the way at the moment.
