Gotta say my Affinity Toro,,looks an intimidating bat and has performed beyond my expectations.

Just came back from coaching and one of the boys has been given a Newbery Kudos SPS. Now that is a very nice shape!

Been using Tapatalk. Coaching young boys is boring on the whole!

Lol! Sorry! Thought you were talking about the coaching session!

Yes - but a very nice looking stick and well balanced.

All of 1cm shorter than a normal short handle bat.  Very little difference, which most customers don't even notice.  Our Neil even got one without noticing!  :)

I wasn't grumbling, particularly. But I did notice. You would consider 1cm to be a lot if we were talking about middle position!

Someone at my club has a bat from sports direct, they'd love to have 1cm of Middle!  ;)

I started using one with a lot of reservations but I tell ya,  I love it now. The toe does look pronounced but it is not weak. I used a mallet to knock and firm up the lower part of the bat lot. Having said that, it is a pretty special bat - CA SM-18.

This thread is further evidence of duck bill toes being all the rage, but I have never used such a bat.  Anyone have any issues with strength/durability/performance down near the toe?

I love the look of my brothers Six6, the thickness of the bat all the way up and the lovely lack of concaving makes for a beautiful profile and a excellent pick up...
The two bats I personally used were a GN Maverick (2013 model but the shape was the same) and GN Oblivion (again 2013 model), both of the bats were excellent and I'd say the Oblivion just wins it...

Another of my personal favourites from this season is the Kookaburra Ricochet.

I'd say the Six6 is fairly heavily concaved, it's just not as obvious as on other bats because the spine is so low compared to the edge!
