kp the fall from high is mighty fast.
« on: December 15, 2014, 06:08:15 PM »

:-[Not only did he fail on the warm up for the Melbourne stars this morning ( a tame 14)he came off the field off play to find out he has been dropped by the Delhi dare devils for next seasons ipl.

Doh. Struggling for a t20 gig now.

He's not the only one. Most expensive player of 2014 yuvraj also dropped.
Along with hussey pujara and a few others.

He could be really useful at a smaller county, help develop a club etc

Well he left Sussex. And was onto recently bleeding about still wanting to play fro England. He isn't gonna achieve that buy being dropped from t20 franchises.

So he either finds a club next year, or will dissapear from cricket.

If he fails for Melbourne(or dropped) I half expect him to announce his retirement.

You wouldn't be surprised but depends on the money train from the West Indies or other tournaments.

One other to throw out there is are Delhi releasing him to get him back cheaper???

I think he May spring a surprise with what he does I genuinely believe he has plenty to offer because he seems so passionate about the game like recently offering to go into schools and coach off the back of him putting it out there on twitter

Considering the state of the england one day side I think if he played reqularly he could still do a job for the team if he was allowed back in but it will never happen.

I think he'll get an IPL gig. It seems a common theme in this years IPL - sides cutting the expensive players in the hope they can re-purchase at a much lower price. KP is still box office if he can get into some form and available for the whole IPL, unlike most current internationals.

A stint at a smaller county for most of the season might do him wonders.

Does him being released mean his contract was up or have they paid up the remainder of his (and others who have had the same news)?

Pietersen should get a gig for 2015, but all the SL kingpins will be in the 2015 auction after missing out in 2014. I see Aaron Finch was also canned.

Don't forget he was binned last year, then bought back by the same franchise - it is all about the money for the IPL

If KP had England tattooed into his heart as well as his arm he would of binned the IPL and all that cash and played for a county in 2014 and 2015-4 day cricket im talking about
His sacking was permanent-who has ever heard of that before? Things change in sport and cricket especially
Pieterson knows full well there could be a change at the top of the Ecb and with that a possible change of policy
Ever seen new management scrap previous policy and start again...new broom slate wiped clean etc etc
I don't work for any opinion polls but would say someone who scores 2000 championship runs and entertains along the way would have supporters on side
Even us England fans who don't like how he behaves think he was sacked without any 'proper reason'

He has just been released to be rebid and purchaed at a lower price. Yuvraj has been dropped and RCB are reportedly interested to buy him back at a lower price. I am sure KP will get a good bid as he's not playing for England and would be available to play for a longer duration.
