KP fatigue has set in. I just couldn't watch BBL with KP yammering on and on. He was acting like Ponting's little helper in the commentary box. If I could create a cartoon, the dialogue would go like this:

KP: "Puntuh, you are a legend. I like to be your smarmy buddy".
Ponting: "KP, I like you to be my smarmy buddy. Keep complimenting me."
KP: "You are a legend, puntuh".
Ponting: "Yes, I am. Keep going, more."
KP: "If you were a country, I'd be your flag bearer".
Ponting: "Keep going".
KP: "You legend you!"
Ponting: "They treated you badly in England, why don't you do my dirty job and drive the knife a little deeper".
KP: "Nah. I am tired of my book, no more".
Ponting: "Yeah, people are sick of your book, so am I. Heck I am sick of you too. But, I remember all the years of torment by England and want to jab them".
KP: "Nah, I dun wanna".
Ponting: "Na, c'mon. Give me the satisfaction. You ain't playing for them anymore. You got no chance, how about another stab".
KP: "Dude, I want to play for England again, this will ruin my chances and will not help England one bit! I am stupid, I understand but this is cruel".
Ponting: "Hahahhaha. I am doing you a favor and giving you material for your next book. You can say you were bullied by me in the commentary box. Dedicate a whole chapter to me: Bullied By Puntuh! Hahaha"
KP: "You legend you".
Ponting: "I know".

KP left south Africa to play here because he claimed black players were blocking his way. more rubbish as it proved later.
the question is I suppose if he would of stayed in SA would he of played international cricket with smith,kallis,boucher,etc.....
he came here and was picked for England fairly quickly.

we will never know I suppose, but it's only ever been about him, never the team.
i'm sure thee are those on here who think 'manage him and get on with it' but there is a history of difficult players who have played for England and they were accommodated most of the time.

being a mercenary cricketer suits him down to the ground, just don't keep going on about wanting to play for England, the fake tattoos don't mean a thing
Pietersen's argument never really held any water. At the time he was trying to break into the Natal first XI, he was a spinner who slogged a few with the bat. Pietersen had a big time hissy when Ghulam Bodi an opener was selected ahead of him.

Tbh people don't like it but he speaks the truth. Players are getting a living and they are simply not good enough. No one likes telling someone 'hey, you're not good enough see ya' but it needs saying. Our game is currently flooded with low talemted players taking a wage (both small and larger) who really should have been kicked back to amateur cricket.

And you are able to make this judgement without having seem them play?

KP is an a***hole. Move on.

If KP were to play CC Div. 1 this year (he won't), I would not feel confident in backing him to score 1000 runs.

IF he tried.. He'd score loads in county cricket. They'd struggle to contain him with the lack of bowling around.

What kind of professional sportsman ever goes on to a field and doesn't try?

Yes, but not long ago you had Tymal Mills in your England team.

2000 championship runs would speak more loudly (and sensibly) than 2000 tweets.
