agree with the guys, run rates have risen due to more docile wickets, smaller boundaries and less quality bowlers. Throw back in mcgrath, warne, ambrose, donald etc, lengthen the boundaries again and liven up the wickets a bit and those run rates and avg's would come down a fair bit. I know I dislike biffing but I suppose it depends what you think test matches are for, are they supposed to be a run fest or a test of said batsmens technique, mentality, fitness, patience etc.. I don't think currently in my opinion we are truly seeing batsmen tested (excluding mismatches like steyn vs an ireland batsmen, johnson vs any englishman
