T20 Bat B3 shoulder tests...
« on: December 19, 2014, 08:44:49 PM »

Well after turning up at B3 i told streaky i was after looking at the T20 area and what could be done with bats in this area which has not already been done.

We came up with a crude yet experimental thing cut the lugs off and have basically a square shoulder so you could get further down the blade making it a touch lighter and a bit different pictures to follow ....

Nothing like your one this is crude and off the cuff mate..

Bet the saw out time. Truth is this cleft had a crack in the fitting stage so i thought of a plan about getting as low on the handle so as the crack has been cut out and hey presto you can get lower on the handle a crude yet simple way. I couldn't let this bat just gather dust or be cut up. Taps up very well and can see too many issues but will be testing it in the nets.

I may get one made up but because of the angle will have to have the shoulders or stump polished before handle fit as this is a rough job....

Not too drastically different it will draw attention, while still managing to be a unique design, I like that!
