Is it hypocritical of Kohli to do the same thing he whinges publicly about? I don't have an issue if he gives as good as he gets, just don't play the victim in press conferences.
Good on Kohli to play Aussies at their own game. They have been bullying others for some time, good to see someone standing  up to them.

Bullying? Hahaha it's professional sport mate, if you can't take the heat, go play on the village green. I admire Kohli for not only giving some lip, but actually backing it up by making runs. He has been sensational, and Aussies appreciate someone like that, even though he will more Han likely get jeered by the crowd.

I agree with that that, it's the bitching and whinging he carries on with that lets him down. The ball that Johnson threw back the stumps was absolutely fine, he just got upset they dare do it to him, terrific player but a big sook.

All the chat between players seems idiotic. Just shut up and play cricket!

Agreed.

Don't see the problem with it. It's making for great entertainment.

Pretty defensive captaincy today from smith. Declaring late and then shaking hands with dhoni with 4 overs to go? Not many Aussie captains would have done that.

Looks like Ashton agar has been called up for the 4th test. Really odd selection.

Young kid (25) captaining his 2nd Test, I'd expect him to be slightly conservative. In hindsight an extra 20 overs may have made the difference, but in all a learning experience and one I'm sure he will be better for. Next time he's in that situation he may have a greater feel for the balance between having enough runs and also having enough time for the bowlers to take 10 wickets.

Why at 2-0 up would you give the opposition a sniff? Not sure why we walked off early though, 24 balls to take 4 wickets, not much point calling it at that stage.

Tweet activity and bigbash commentators mention it too. But can't find any big news article on it.

Who's he replaced in the squad?

Probably Siddle. Bizarre, he's the Ashley Giles of Australian cricket. Decent #8 batsman, can't bowl for peanuts. I'd have rather they'd gone really radical and selected one of the young trio of leggies, James Muirhead, Adam Zampa and Cameron Boyce. Just get a look at one and see if they are worth taking to England. Muirhead probably the pick of them but Zampa has improved a fair bit...

It's appeared.  And he's merely added. Rest stay. Apparently if the pitch si right they may play two spinners.
Is that not preparing a pitch for Indian advantage?

Oh and the small news that Dhoni just retired from tests. Kohli to captain at the scg

How on Earth has Ashton Agar leapfrogged Steve O'Keefe? SoK must really be shaking his head.

New era for Indian crocket now. Dhoni's methods where old fashioned and out of date. Kohli's aggressive nature might, in the long run, make India more competitive.

Doubt that the result would have been different, but they should have bowled those 24 balls.

The pitches have been pretty friendly to the Indians so far anyway. Different to the ones prepared for the ashes and the green tops on india's last tour.
Wonder if it's a marketing decision. Don't think cricket Australia wanted matches over in 3 days.

Dhoni should have given up the captaincy a couple of years ago. He's never looked interested in tests and let games slip by having defensive fields
