Sponsorships
« on: January 06, 2015, 07:48:53 PM »

Hello Happy New Year
A thought that has troubled me for a while is whether a sponsorship with a smaller brand like newbery, salix, woodstock etc would be a good idea. So now i need some new gear thinking wether a sponsorhip would be good (and by a bat as compulsory) or just by the kit from a shop so i can mix kit up. What do you all think to the idea.
Thanks
Harry

Think most of the smaller brands will put you on the "sponsorship scheme" if you buy a full set of kit. It's essentially a bulk buy discount.

Woodstock hand "sponsorship" out like it's going out of fashion (I got one just for enquiring about their range!)
Is it worth it - in all honesty no.

If you want to make your genitalia biggertell everyone you're sponsored go for it.

Just get stuff from a retailer. The 20% off RRP from the company is usually the same as shops charge anyway.

Why do you think you deserve one?
I hit 1200 runs in 3 different leagues, hit most 6's in the club and probably the league.
Do I deserve one?
Probably not.

Don't believe the hype. Your county counter parts (I'm assuming you're playing county youth) may say they have sponsorship, but as said it will be a percentage off the RRP.
And who pays RRP??!!

We offer a players increment a ice berg effect ranging from 100 per cent to 10 per cent.

I think it is a good scheme it allows players discount or full sponsorship and our prices are good.

But what i will say is be original in your letter and remember where B3 not another brand.

People need to change this it is rude not too

Bit harsh don't you think. The kids got to have some talent to be picked if he does play county or potential. As a men's cricket you may see youth county players as average but there playing the same level as you at probably half your age!

And cost won't be an issue, as to play county as a junior you have to attend the right school, which is always an expensive private one...

I and many others played Junior county Cricket and my parents didn't have a penny to rub together and the coach ended up giving me a bat if your good enough you will get a go.

I tend to find people with this opinion tend to have been overlooked when there younger..

I and others worked hard to get in our teams like most kids trying

Stupid statement. I played junior county and the only thing my parents paid for education wise was piano lessons... Now that was a waste of money if ever there has been one!
