The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.

most go for the day, but I think Tomtek stayed over last year. I'm considering staying over the night before this year.

5 1/2 hours for me so doubt I could do it in a day

will have to see if anyone stays over as I might pop down to watch for fun

If selected, I'd offer lifts, but if non needed, or people want to stay, id prefer a nice premier inn.  Breakfast and driven ack in the morning,.

Don't recall a Lenny Henry being anywhere local. Me, Tomtek and Byo stayed at what we thought was a B&B but turned out to be a golf resort, called London Beach. Pretty nice and decent price. Good breakfast.

I'll be staying over probably the night before and after this year. Was a long day with the 3.5 hour drive each way and the game. Plus, beers :)  Will have to bring the mrs and new kid though but I can fob her off the day after with a trip to Bluewater
