Moeen Ali using a ton
« on: February 23, 2015, 01:57:26 PM »

Anybody else notice he was clearly using a ss/ton today
Even had max power grip on it
Covered the logos with tape and had his kook stickers on it but was still obviously a ss

Kookaburra must be delighted about that.
Great how they have spare set of stickers, just in case?

Imagine Kookaburra wouldn't be too impressed that he couldn't be bothered to change the grip! And isn't even using this year's stickers.

Not even subtle about it - at least put a plain grip on it!

Didn't ABD do the same in the IPL one year?

Maybe they're secret members on CBF:

They are this years stickers, the Kahuna family has 2 sub groups this year. The Iconic Kahuna with the bright green and white colours, and the Classic Kahuna in the darker green. We are only stocking the Iconic Kahuna. Moeen is the only player as far as i can see who is using the Classic Kahuna ( stickers ;) )

Nice to see Ali ton up with a TON!  :D

Wasn't there a video last year of hales netting with a TON too?
Maybe they're all kit badgers like us and like to try a few different bats out  ;)

As far as stickering up bats goes, we all know it happens. I just wonder where Ali got the stickers from if there wasn't a local sports direct...  :-[

two possibilities...

he already had the bat stickered up and was one in his collection

or

they are ultra prepared and travel with some spare sets of stickers?

Or he took the stickers off one of his old/broken/least favourite/net bats and put them on the new one

or he went on eBay!

or his agent called Mr Kookaburra and politely asked for some new stickers to place on his nice new and better performing Ton, but not to worry as the Kids will never know! ;)

The more you know! They've kept that quiet then, only seen the Iconic so far.
