Overall we are lucky we buy so many and get very good quality indeed from 32 grainer right down to a 3 grainer something for everybody if your ever in the area please do call in and have a look around it a no pressure sales team just have a look and have a chat with the guys

Is that the over sized grade 3-365 density cleft you were talking about? Do we have max edge, spine on it?

Mate it isn't i could find the grade 3 one and i did look

Max from oversized not sure i suspect around 45mm and maybe 75-85mm not got much experience with oversized ones but suspect this is possible

We get very few mate depends sometimes cut them up or make them into junior if they can be saved or sell as specials but we really do get very few mate

Dave, The first of the pics in your OP, half redwood, do you call that grade 2 or frade 3?

pal we call it top grade we re grade our williow however we tend not to sell Half heartwood we tend to give in our pro grade.


Not many clefts around like that without any blemishes in the face

So you rate it grade 1?  I thought JS Wrights defined grade 1 as having a maximum of 1.75" redwood?
