I found last year my grip didn't move up at all. Over teh winter I've removed it for referb etc and not put it back on yet.. shock horror, the grips are riding up again. I'd say it works well, the only issue I found was it pulled the twine off the handle when removing the grip.

IMO, it does what it says on the tin

I just use self-amalgamating tape - and it works for me...

Key points for me, I use a strip about 2" from bottom AND 2" from top - I find if I don't then I get slippage. Also, it's best applied to a clean grip and once applied don't keep rolling the grip up and down past the tape as you want the surface to be relatively clean/tacky to the back of the grip. If it's slipped at all, roll it just up to the bottom of the tape then roll back down.

Yes definitely works and there is enough for plenty of seasons. I have two grips on so I used it between the bat and first grip and also between the two grips. Never moved. I've re-griped the top one a couple of times and still working well.

A decent alternative is a bit of spray on impact adhesive on the handle! Never tried grip grip but the spray adhesive has definitely done the trick

I sold it and used it last season and it was a success.
I recall when changing a grip on a handle with Grip Grip used it didn't really want to come off.
I see Kookaburra have bought the rights.
Might look into this self-amalgamation tape tho, sounds like it's a go-er too?

I own an electrical wholesale business so am quite familiar with self amalgamating tape, to my eyes it looks identical to grip grip and is considerably cheaper!!

I started using Grip Grip this year and it's a great product. However, that amalgamating tape is so much cheaper! I'm going to give it a go :)

How does amalgamating tape actually work?? Does it bond itself to the rubber grip holding it in place? Cos I thought it didn't have adhesive on it
