Frequently! By which I mean I try and hit everything for 6 in nets.

An even better game when we have a practice on the square is to see who hits it furthest into the woods  :D

I'll do it in the nets if I see one that can be hit straight for miles, otherwise I don't bother.

Iv done it on about 5 occasions at my old club as we used to play in a county wide T20 comp. not as easy as you would imagine to actually clear the boundary for 6. Have someone feeding basic off spin of medium seam up.

Yes!
It is so so important to learn what you can and cannot do.

It is really refreshing and reassuring to know just how far you can send it.

Straight I can regularly clear 100m, same square, and have roped a couple of guys to help me work out the reverse sweep, need to know if I can clear the ring, the boundary, or just to keep it down and look for rotating the strike.

How many times do people get out by trying to hit it too hard and losing shape? Head back shoulders open, balance off and a swing and a miss..........

Go for it and have fun, pitch vision have a good guide, just google it

I have a book on t20 training and we tried range hitting. You are supposed to use tennis balls initially to get the correct technique, it's difficult to hit a tennis ball far without proper technique.

As I can't play I "walked the dog" to the ground where there happened to be training tonight.

I watched one of the younger lads in the "range hitting net"
This "net" was open top and about 15 yards long on either side of the wicket. Great if you're on the square so you can see how far you've hit it. Not so great when the. Practice strip is in the corner of the ground and cow corner is a school playing field and is only 30 yards away.

His session ended when he's lost the last of the balls...

Can you also post a picture of the "Table of Contents" of the book. Amazon does not show the TOC and I would like to get some idea of topics covered before I plunk down my hard earned deneros.  :)

Here it is, look who is on the front cover!

This book is 4 years old so you might be able to find a second hand copy like I did. Alternatively a newer version.
